Ethics Course Imparts Knowledge on Moral Principles, Professional Conduct, and Patient Rights: Dr. Aarti
The ongoing UHS ‘Course of Ethics Including Bioethics' at the Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences concluded on Saturday. The objective of this course was to sensitize postgraduate (PG) students to ethical values and to empower them to adopt ethical practices within their medical profession.
Rohtak, March 14, 2026: The ongoing UHS ‘Course of Ethics Including Bioethics' at the Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences concluded on Saturday. The objective of this course was to sensitize postgraduate (PG) students to ethical values and to empower them to adopt ethical practices within their medical profession.
Course Coordinator Dr. Aarti said that approximately 250 PG students participated in this program, and to date, around 750 students have received training on key aspects of ethics and bioethics through this initiative. Speakers for the course - Dr. Savita Verma, Dr. Jitendra Jakhar, Dr. Ritu Hooda, Dr. Bina, and Dr. Kamal Singh addressed various sessions.
Dr. Aarti remarked that this course provides students with in-depth knowledge regarding moral principles, professional conduct, and the responsibilities associated with safeguarding patients' rights. She added that knowledge of ethics and bioethics not only assists students in navigating the challenges they encounter in their professional lives but also helps them understand their responsibilities toward their patients.
