Environment Day celebrations in premises of Hero Steels

Ludhiana, June 12, 2023: CEO Madhur Gupta - Hero Steels Limited in association with Ravinder Bhatti - XEN, Atul Kaushal – SDO, Punjab Pollution Control Board has celebrated Environment Day in the premises of Hero Steels, Ludhiana.  Day was celebrated by cleaning the surroundings including residential area and collected plastic wastage, tree plantation in and around the premises, distribution jute/cloth bags to the public.

Ravinder Bhatti, XEN, Pollution Control Board discussed and informed regarding existing changes in the environment due to excessive use of plastic, means and ways to reduce this by doing small things like tree plantation, make habit of using jute/cloth bags and keep our area neat and clean.

Madhur Gupta, CEO emphasized on the environmental policy and informed that Hero Steels policy is to be a responsible corporate citizen in protecting the environment.  We are committed to complying with accepted environmental practices, including the commitment to meet or exceed applicable legal and other requirements. We will manage our processes, our materials and our people in order to reduce the environmental impacts associated with our work. 

Vishal Kumar, Head (HR & Admin), Sanjeev Kumar (Human Resources), S.K. Gupta, Head Operations and team was also present.

Celebration was ended with the pledge for continual improvement in our environmental management system and to minimize the creation of wastes and pollution and by distribution jute/cloth bags.
