Ensure Proper Prosecution of Identified Crime Cases in Court: DC Sachin Gupta

Rohtak, November 10, 2025: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta said that crime can be controlled only by ensuring strict punishment for those who commit offences. Proper prosecution must be conducted in court for all identified crime cases so that offenders involved in serious crimes can be convicted. CCTV cameras will be installed at crime hotspots in the district to keep surveillance and curb such incidents.

DC Sachin Gupta was presiding over the review meeting on identified crimes and NCORD at the conference hall of the Mini Secretariat along with Superintendent of Police Surender Singh and other concerned officers. He reviewed the progress of cases registered under identified crimes in the district. He also obtained information regarding the digital arrest cases registered in the district.

Giving directions to the Drugs Control Officer, he said that strict action as per rules should be taken against those involved in the illegal sale of intoxicants, and it must be ensured that no one in the district can illegally sell such substances.

Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta also reviewed the functioning of de-addiction centres operating in the district. Directing the Sub-Divisional Magistrates, he said that they must conduct inspections of these centres at regular intervals and continuously upload the joint inspection reports.

Psychiatrist Dr. Vinita from the Civil Hospital informed that currently three de-addiction centres are being operated in the district—one each at PGIMS Rohtak, Civil Hospital, and Bahu Akbarpur village.

Superintendent of Police Surender Singh said that citizens should be made aware of cyber fraud prevention through newspapers. He also shared information regarding the IT Act. He said that serious crimes have been included in the category of identified crimes so that proper prosecution can be ensured to secure punishment for offenders.
He urged citizens to provide information about individuals involved in drug trafficking so that a drug-free society can be built.

SDMs Sampla and Meham Joined the meeting through video conferencing. On this occasion, District Jail Superintendent Satyawan, District Attorney Surender Pahwa, Drugs Control Officer Mandeep Mann, Psychiatrist Dr. Vinita and others were present.
