Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta reviewed the procurement carried out during the paddy procurement season and issued comprehensive directions to ensure full preparedness for the forthcoming Rabi (wheat) procurement season. Chairing a review meeting with officers of government procurement agencies and the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board at the Mini Secretariat, he directed that cleanliness, repair and infrastructure upgradation works be undertaken on priority in all main mandis as well as sub-yards.

Rohtak, December 17, 2025: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta reviewed the procurement carried out during the paddy procurement season and issued comprehensive directions to ensure full preparedness for the forthcoming Rabi (wheat) procurement season. Chairing a review meeting with officers of government procurement agencies and the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board at the Mini Secretariat, he directed that cleanliness, repair and infrastructure upgradation works be undertaken on priority in all main mandis as well as sub-yards.

The Deputy Commissioner instructed the concerned officers to immediately start maintenance works including repairs of roads, sheds, drainage, lighting systems and other essential infrastructure so that farmers and procurement agencies do not face any inconvenience during the Rabi season. He emphasized that all main mandis must be fully upgraded, and sub-yards should be prepared in advance and made operational wherever required to handle the expected arrival of wheat.

He further directed that, in coordination with the Development and Panchayat Department, adequate and suitable land be identified at five procurement centres—Kiloi, Sanghi, Madina, Lakhan Majra and Kahanor—to facilitate smooth procurement operations. Adequate storage arrangements must also be ensured well in advance, along with timely completion of all allied arrangements for the upcoming season.

DC Sachin Gupta also instructed the Secretaries of the Market Committees to closely monitor repair and maintenance works in mandis. He directed that street lights, internal roads, sheds and other facilities be repaired or upgraded as per requirement. He further ordered that a stage be constructed under the newly built shed in the local New Grain Market to enable its use for official and public programmes. Necessary directions were also issued regarding the effective functioning of Atal Kisan Mazdoor Canteens in the grain and vegetable markets.

The meeting was attended by DDPO Rajpal Chahal, DFSC Varinder Singh, DM Haryana State Warehousing Corporation Rohtash Dahiya, DM HAFED Dharmendra Kumar, Secretary, Market Committee Rohtak Deepak Lohchab, Secretary, Market Committee Meham Dr. Deepak Kumar, Secretary, Sampla Market Committee Savita Saini, SDE (HSAMB) Rajesh Kumar, along with other concerned officers.
