Ludhiana, December 21, 2023: Energy Conservation Day was celebrated by The Institution of Engineers (India), Ludhiana Local Centre on Thursday at CMERI-CSIO- CoEFM, Ludhiana.
Dr. Jagdessh M., Senior Scientist, CMERI- CSIR welcomed the guests.
Dr. Ashwani Kumar Kushwaha, Chief Scientist, CMERI- CSIR was the chief guest for the occasion.
Dr. Arvind Dhingra, Executive Director, STEP-GNDEC, Certified Energy Auditor delivered the key note address on Energy Conservation for Sustainability.
In his address he stressed upon need for sustainability in energy production and consumption. He cited as to how energy audit could pave way for energy conservation. He gave numerous examples of how the energy could be conserved without compromising the comfort. He also touched upon the star rating of appliances, tips for energy conservation in homes.
Dr. Ashwani Kumar Kushwaha in his address said that small measures could pave way for large energy savings and reduction of CO2 emissions.
Members of the institution and faculty & staff from CMERI_CSIO attended the event. Er. Surinder Singh, Honorary Secretary proposed the vote of thanks.
