Enactus PU Team celebrates Diwali with specially abled at Samarth 

Chandigarh, October 30, 2021: The Enactus SSBUICET team of Panjab University organized Diwali  celebrations with special children of Samarth, a residential home for people with cerebral palsy and mental disabilities in Sector-15, Chandigarh. The team has been celebrating Diwali at Samarth since last many years, informed Prof. Seema Kapoor, faculty advisor of Enactus team. 
The event started with the lighting of the lamp ceremony. Enactus members gave an energetic dance and music performance and also made specially abled dance with them to the beats of the festive songs. The team also organised refreshments for them. The joy and charm on the faces of the special children were visible which gave the whole team a sense of satisfaction and cheerfulness. 
The message of green Diwali was also spread by the team by not bursting crackers.Prof. Kapoor appreciated the efforts of the students and highlighted how little actions can help make the world a better place for everyone.
Mr. Akshit Kalra, President of Enactus team highlighted that the main objective of this celebration was to illuminate the lives of specially-abled children with lights and colours and the team was successful in bringing a rocket of prosperity and happiness. 
Ms. Meesha, Vice President of Enactus team told that the diyas gifted to Samarth were made by the potter community of Maloya working under project Dhra of Enactus team. Augmenting the spirit of the festival, Project heads Mr. Chetan Wadhwa, Ms. Amanpreet and Ms. Nandini along with Ms. Dea, the content head and Ms. Ravnoor, the marketing head contributed to the event and extended their heart-warming wishes to Samarth organization.
Professor S.K.Tomar, Dean Students Welfare, PU conveyed that he is overwhelmed by Enactus team as it is helping the underprivileged sections of the society since last decade and is also bringing laurels to Panjab University at various National & International competitions.
