Chandigarh, November 7, 2017: Eminent Delhi-based vocalist Nila Sinha Roy enthralled audience at a concert organised by Shri Shanti Sarup Sharma Memorial Educational and Charitable Trust (S-4 Trust) at the Tagore Theatre here today.

Kicking off programme with "thumri" in "raag tilang", Nila kept the audience spell-bound with self-composed and popular ghazals, including "ulti ho gayee sab tadbeeren"(Meer), "abb ulfat ke"(Sudarshan Faakir), "woh jo ham me tum mein"(Mommin) and "dil hi to hain" (Mirza Ghalib)

Earlier, eminent vocalist snd Trustee of S-4 Trust, Dr Rinku Kalia, said the programme was an endeavour to revive the fast-vanishing performing arts such as dadra and thumri and raise funds for "beti bachao, beti padhao" campaign of the S-4 Trust.Besides, the concert was organised to pay musical tributes to late BM Kalia, a prominent art promoter of the region and founder of the S-4 Trust,she added.

Haryana Additional Chief Secretary (Home) SS Prasad was chief guest at the programme sponsored by Art and Cultural Affairs Department, Haryana Government.
