Educational tour comprising of students of BPT-III to Ceshire Home, Dehradoon and NIVH
Jalandhar, November 27, 2019: A three-day educational tour comprising of the students of BPT-III to Ceshire Home, Dehradoon and NIVH was organized by the Department of Physiotherapy, Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar. College Principal Dr Gurpinder Singh Samra appreciated the motive behind this educational program and also stressed the importance of such real-life practical experiences for students. The students in the touring party interacted with disabled children in the Ceshire Home, Dehradoon whilst the following day saw them visit NIVH and spent quality time with visually impaired students. In the process, students learnt and observed the various methodologies involved in the making of various equipment for such children with special needs and it was an equally surreal experience to observe the brave way of life adopted by those without the precious gift of eyesight. Mussoorie was the destination on the third day of the tour where students observed the natural backdrops, in particular the famous sunset point of the region before the culmination of the trip. Dr.Raju Sharma, Head, Department of Physiotherapy shared his thoughts with the touring students all along the trip.
