Ferozepur, May 13, 2022: The District Education Department organized a special two day workshop for the Principals of all the government, government aided, private, local bodies and central schools for “UDISE” survey at Dass & Brown World School situated in the city area.
While giving details, Pawan Madaan MIS Wing District Coordinator said that more than 600 schools participated in this workshop. On this occasion senior officials from the education department including Chamkaur Singh DEO (Secondary), Rajiv Chhabra DEO (Elementary) that UDISE is necessary to make policies for the school education and to collect important data. He said that all the schools of the state are covered in this survey so that the union government could come to know which kind of facilities and infrastructure is available in the school. He said based on this data, government provides the basic infrastructure to the schools.
Deputy DEO Komal Arora and Sukhwinder Singh said that based on the stats of this survey, the central government release the budget. They said that to avail the government funding and to avoid any kind of confusion, the schools must update their data.
District Coordinator Pawan Madan based on this data, the gross enrolment ratio, net enrolment ratio, drop out ratio, transition rate and other data is extracted and the ranking of the states is done. He said that during this survey 836 primary and upper primary schools, 10 aided schools, 5 centre schools, 4 local body schools, 223 private schools, 1 Adarsh school, and 1 Punjab School Education Board School participated in this survey including a meritorious school also.
