With an aim to streamline potable water supply, Deputy Mayor Prince Johar inauagurated a project to install a tubewell in Puri Karyana Store street in Shimlapuri (ward number 40) on Tuesday.

Ludhiana, August 4, 2026: With an aim to streamline potable water supply, Deputy Mayor Prince Johar inauagurated a project to install a tubewell in Puri Karyana Store street in Shimlapuri (ward number 40) on Tuesday.  
A 25hp tubewell is being installed in the area at a cost of around Rs 12.5 lakh. While inaugurating the project in presence of area residents, Deputy Mayor Prince Johar said that the tubewell is being installed out of councillor quota and authorities have been directed to complete the project at the earliest. 
Deputy Mayor Johar said that the project is being taken up on the demand of the residents and this will benefit the residents in ward number 40 and 39.
Deputy Mayor Johar said that working under the guidance of Chief Minister (CM) Bhagwant Singh Mann their focus is on overall sustainable development. More such projects would be launched in the coming days to facilitate the public at large.  
Manjit Kaur, Dharamveer Singh, Paramjeet Singh, Urmila Puri, Sukhdev Singh Saini, Gurmeet Kaur, Dharminder Singh, Ranjeet Singh, Gurwinder Singh, Parminder Singh, Charanjeet Kaur, Jyoti Rani, Dilip Kaur, Jasvir Kaur, Avtar, Jatin, Raju, Gifty, Kuljit among others were present during the inauguration ceremony.
