Rohtak, October 18, 2026: Devotional fervour filled the Double Park Community Centre in Model Town on Sunday as the Bengali community celebrated Maha Ashtami, a key day of Durga Puja.
Devotees offered flowers, fruits and sweets to Goddess Durga in her Gauri form, while priests from West Bengal performed rituals and chanted sacred hymns. The celebrations also featured a community feast, with devotees partaking in langar prasad.
An evening aarti marked the culmination of the day’s festivities, drawing devotees who gathered to seek the goddess’s blessings.
