Duo of Akshita and Khushi won Women's Doubles at 34th District Badminton Championship

Rohtak, May 26, 2026: The 34th District-Level Badminton Championship, organized by the District Badminton Association (DBA), Rohtak, concluded on Tuesday.

Ajay Singhania, Vice President of the Badminton Association of India (BAI), attended the closing ceremony of this five-day tournament as the Chief Guest. The closing ceremony was presided over by Yashpal Singh Panwar, President of the DBA, Rohtak.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Ajay Singhania remarked that badminton players from Haryana are consistently bringing glory to the state by achieving victories in national and international competitions. He emphasized the crucial role sports play in fostering discipline and team spirit in one's life. Urging everyone to make at least one sport an integral part of their lives, he stated that participation in sports is far more significant than merely winning or losing. He extended his best wishes to all the players.

District President Yashpal Singh Panwar informed that approximately 500 players showcased their talent and prowess across various age-group categories in the district-level matches. On the final day of the tournament, players displayed immense enthusiasm during the final matches across different categories. All winners and runners-up were honored with certificates and mementos by Chief Guest Ajay Singhania, District President Yashpal Singh Panwar, and other DBA office bearers.

Yashpal Singh Panwar expressed his gratitude to the guests and presented them with mementos. The winning players will go on to represent District Rohtak in the upcoming State-Level Badminton Championship. The District President also extended his appreciation to all the players and the entire Association team for the successful organization of the event. Tournament Coordinator Ritesh Dalal, along with other office bearers, parents, and sports enthusiasts, were present on the occasion.

Sharing details regarding the final results, Yashpal Singh Panwar announced that Savi emerged as the winner in the Under-09 Girls' Singles category, while Palvit won the Boys' Singles title; the duo of Daksh and Palvit claimed victory in the Boys' Doubles category.

In the Under-11 category, Devangana won the Girls' Singles title, while the pair of Devangana and Ishu triumphed in Girls' Doubles; Manveer won the Boys' Singles, and the duo of Manveer and Vishvendra secured the Boys' Doubles victory.

In the Under-13 category, Prashi emerged as the winner in Girls' Singles, the pair of Prashi and Nayasha won Girls' Doubles, Parv claimed the Boys' Singles title, and the duo of Jivansh and Parv became the champions in Boys' Doubles.

In the Under-15 category, Ashmi won Girls' Singles, the pair of Daksha and Laysha won Girls' Doubles, Poorv won Boys' Singles, the duo of Gunit and Yakshansh won Boys' Doubles, and the pair of Arman and Daksha emerged victorious in Mixed Doubles.

In the Under-17 category, Khushi won Girls' Singles, the pair of Akshita and Khushi won Girls' Doubles, Jatin won Boys' Singles, the duo of Ritik and Yash won Boys' Doubles, and the pair of Ritik and Akshita secured the victory in Mixed Doubles.

In the Under-19 category, Garima won Girls' Singles, the pair of Arshita and Shayna won Girls' Doubles, Yash won Boys' Singles, the duo of Parth and Yash won Boys' Doubles, and the pair of Yash and Khushi became the champions in Mixed Doubles.

Additionally, Garima claimed the Women's Singles title by defeating Seerat. In Women's Doubles, the duo of Akshita and Khushi emerged victorious by defeating Palak and Unnati Hooda. In Men's Singles, Vansh defeated Gautam. In Men's Doubles, the duo of Anshul and Sunny defeated the duo of Sahil and Vimal. In Mixed Doubles, the duo of Harsh and Seerat became the champions by defeating Aman and Akshita.
