Due to rumours of GST survey shops of some markets shut down for brief moment

Ludhiana, August 4, 2023: Due to rumours of GST survey the shops of Mata Rani Road, Akalgarh Market and Chaura Bazar were shut down for a brief moment. As the representatives of Punjab Pradesh Beopar Mandal state general secretary Sunil Mehra and general secretary Ayush Aggarwal were called upon who  had a conversation with DETC and got clarification that under conspiracy of some unidentified personnels rumours of wrongful action by GST department caused panic in the market leading to the closure of shops.

Mandal leaders added that previous DETC Randhir Kaur had a meeting with Punjab Pradesh Beopar Mandal and gave assurance that no wrongful actions will be undertaken against businessmen and traders and all the issues faced by businessmen and traders will be resolved amicably. Now, the new DETC gave leaders of Punjab Pradesh Beopar Mandal assurance that soon there will be meeting organised between the department and businessmen to discuss the issues faced by the businessmen and appropriate actions will be undertaken to resolve them. 

Among others were present Mata Rani Road Market Association President Davinder Singh Jolly, Market Association Chairman Ravinder Singh, Vijay Chopra, Manpreet Singh Bunty and Chaura Bazar Association.
