DTF: Extend winter holidays in schools

Ferozepur, January 2, 2013: A joint meeting of Democratic Teachers Front (DTF), Punjab , Ferozepur District Unit, was held today under the leadership of Des Raj, president.

Giving this information, Satesh Bhunder, General Secretary said, in the unanimous resolution passed by the DTF, it has been demanded from the Punjab Government, keeping in view the dense fog and low temperature, the leaves in the schools government schools should be extended.

He further said, the demands of STR, SSA, RMSA, CSS teachers should be accepted without any condition.

In the meeting, a special discussion was held on the atrocities on women and illicit behaviour with the girls and both, state and central governments should introspect that in case under their administration, if the women cannot move freely, they have no right to continue on moral grounds.  The leaders are boasting about the development in the country, whereas on the other hand, the unscrupulous and anti-social elements are continuously indulging in heinous and horrific crimes like that of recently gang rape in Delhi .  The leaders said, the people have to prepare themselves for their own safety. 

On this occasion, Baljit Singh Sher Khan, Gurdev Singh, Harbans Lal, Deepa Singh, Upinder Singh, Jaswinder Singh and Baldev Singh and others were present.
