DST STUTI, sponsored 7-day Hands-On Training Program on: “Advances in Functional Genomics & Gene Editing”

Chandigarh, November 14, 2022: DST STUTI, sponsored 7-day Hands-On Training Program on: “Advances in Functional Genomics & Gene Editing”, today at department of biotechnology Panjab University Chandigarh under the aegis of SAIF CIL kick started today. The theme of training program is to provide knowledge and training in the field of functional genomics to participants where they can use these skills for their further phd and post doc research work. The program was inaugurated by Prof Raj Nehru Vice Chancellor of Shri Vishwakarma skill university Haryana and Prof Raj Kumar Vice Chancellor Panjab University presided over the function. Keynote talk was delivered  by Prof Zofia Szweykowska Kulinska from AMU poland on role of functional genomics studies especially miRNA and their target in controlling plant development. Further, Prof Artur Jarmołowski introduced miRNA and their biogenesis. In the beginning Prof Kashmir Singh coordinator and Dr Santosh Upadhyak welcomed the guest and participants and Prof Ganga Ram Chaudhary introduced about STUTI scheme of DST. Prof Desh Deepak Singh proposed vote of thanks to all the dignitaries and participants.
The workshop is being attended by 30 participants from all over India
