Dry day in district from February 18-20 and March 10 during polling and counting of votes respectively

Nawanshahr, February 11, 2022: In view of ensuing polling day on February 20, District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal has declared dry day in district from 6pm on February 18 to February 20 till conclusion of the voting.
Divulging the details, Deputy Commissioner said dry day has been declared in entre district from 6 pm to February 18-20 in wake of the polling for Assembly elections.  Likewise, he also said that dry day has also been declared in district of March 10 the day on which counting of votes would take place.
The Deputy Commissioner said that on these days, no hotel, restaurant, club and others would be allowed to serve liquor in their premises. He further said that no person can store liquor on these days as well. He stated that these orders have been issued to maintain law and order in view of the polling and counting.
