DRONE TRAINING SESSION EQUIPS NCC GIRL CADETS WITH MODERN SKILLS BY 3 PUNJAB GIRLS BATTALION NCC LUDHIANA AT GURU HARGOBIND KHALSA COLLEGE GURUSAR SUDHAR

Ludhiana, July 11, 2025: As part of the ongoing Annual Training Camp of the 3 Punjab Girls Battalion NCC, Ludhiana, a special Drone Training Session was conducted to upskill NCC girl cadets in emerging technologies. The camp, being held from 08 July to 17 July 2025 at the Guru Hargobind Khalsa College Gurusar Sudhar is being conducted under the leadership of Camp Commandant Colonel Rakesh Singh Chauhan.
The drone training was conducted by Training Officer Karnail Singh from the National Skill Training Institute (NSTI), Ludhiana, who introduced cadets to the fundamentals of drone technology, operations, and its wide-ranging applications in defense, agriculture, surveillance, and disaster management. The session included both theoretical aspects of drone parts, controls, safety protocols, and basic piloting skills needed.
The initiative aimed to equip the cadets with relevant technical knowledge, aligning with the Government’s focus on skill development and self-reliance under the “Skill India” mission. Cadets showed keen interest and actively in the lecture.
Colonel Rakesh Singh Chauhan commended the effort and said, “In today’s world, it is important that our cadets are not only physically and mentally strong but also technologically aware. Training in drone operation opens new possibilities for learning and future careers.
The session was highly appreciated by all cadets and staff, as it added a modern and futuristic dimension to the traditional training structure of NCC. The Annual Training Camp continues to serve as a dynamic platform for nurturing discipline, leadership, and technical competence among young women.
