Dr.Lalit Goyal Brings Laurels for DAV College

Jalandhar, January 15, 2019: Dr.Lalit Goyal who is working as associate professor in department of computer science at DAV college, jalandhar has brought laurels. He presented his research paper at university of Hawaii, Manoa Campus, in USA where researchers from various countries like USA, Canada, Malaysia, Estonia, Taiwan and many more participated in the conference. The conference was held at University of Hawaii, Hawaii, USA. Dr.Lalit Goyal said that he along with his mentor Dr. Vishal Goyal who is the Professor at Punjabi University, Patiala are working in the field of translation from spoken language to Indian sign language. As a part of his research work, he has created a software tool which is very useful for teaching the Hindi alphabets to the deaf students. In USA, he has presented his research paper in the same field. His work is very much appreciated at the conference. Along with his presentation in the conference, he also visited the only deaf school in Hawaii. He has demonstrated his translation software which can covert English text to Indian sign language to the principal and staff members of the school. This software was quite appreciated by the staff members. Dr. Lalit Goyal and Dr. Vishal Goyal are in talks with the school for MoU so that his work can be extended for the mankind. Principal Dr. S.K. Arora has appreciated the work done by the author. He said, DAV college, Jalandhar is proud of the research work done for the benefit of the society.
