Dream Big, Become Job Creators: MDU Students urged Embrace Entrepreneurship

Rohtak, September 10, 2026: The Haryana Yuva Udyami Yatra-2026 reached Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) on Thursday, inspiring students to explore entrepreneurship, startups, innovation and self-employment as career options.
The programme, organised by the Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Centre for Skill and Vocational Education and the Centre for Innovation and Incubation Excellence, familiarised students with government schemes, skill development initiatives and opportunities in self-employment and entrepreneurship.
MDU Registrar Prof. Sandeep Bansal urged students to “dream big” and turn their ideas into viable ventures. He said youth should move beyond the mindset of merely seeking jobs and aspire to become job creators through innovation and entrepreneurship.
Dean Academic Affairs Prof. Randeep Rana said MDU, under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Milap Poonia, was promoting innovation, startups and entrepreneurship on campus. He encouraged students to look beyond conventional career paths and leverage their creativity and skills to create new opportunities.
NSDC and Ministry of Skill Development advisor Dr Krishna Kant Kataria, Startup Stairs Gurugram Managing Director Dr Preet Sandhu, NSDC General Manager Anupan and Haryana Skill Development Mission’s Deepak interacted with students and shared insights on converting ideas into successful enterprises.
Centre directors Prof Yudhvir Singh and Prof Ajit Kumar welcomed the guests, while Dr Priyanka Yadav conducted the programme. Faculty members, department heads and a large number of students attended the event.
