Dr. Prabhakar Kashyap awarded with Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar (UBKYP) of Sangeet Natak Akademi

Chandigarh, February 17, 2023: Dr. Prabhakar Kashyap, Assistant Professor in the Department of Music, Panjab University, Chandigarh awarded with Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar (UBKYP) of Sangeet Natak Akademi for the year 2020 on February 15, 2023 by the Union Minister for Culture, Tourism and DoNER, G. Kishan Reddy at Meghdoot Theatre Complex, Rabindra Bhavan, New Delhi.
 
Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his message said “Congratulations to the talented youngsters who have been conferred the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Purskar. Best wishes for their future endeavours.  May they keep popularising Indian culture and music in the times to come”. 
 
Professor Neelam Paul, Chairperson also congratulated to Dr. Prabhkar Kashyap on his professional achievement and said that the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar, given to artists below the age of 40 years, was introduced with the objective of identifying and encouraging outstanding young talents in diverse fields of performing arts and giving them national recognition early in their life, so that they may work with greater commitment and dedication in their chosen fields.
