Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Specialties Centre highlights women’s safety with Chennai Police

Chennai: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Specialties Centre organised an exclusive event to celebrate the spirit and empowerment of women through a lecture by Chennai Police and the necessity of using Kaavalan app. Emphasizing the need of women’s safety apart from creating awareness of self-defense mechanisms of preventing an attack, the event ignited and inspired all the women to come forward and acquire skills to counter an attack apart from instilling the spirit of being fearless and free. 
On the special occasion of celebrating Women’s Day, Dr. R M Anjana – Managing Director of Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Specialties Centre expressed “We are glad to celebrate the spirit of women as they have always been an inspiration for many especially in regard to this institution. With spike in crime against women in the recent past, the fear and freedom of our women has always been posing a challenge owing a barrage of reasons. This is to emphasize that our women can very well fight these odds along with the help of the Kavalan app as well as preventive self defense mechanisms. This is a true celebration and a red letter day for our women staff as they have always been very special to Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Specialties Centre.” 
Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Specialties Centre will also conduct a parallel 3 day awareness activity in the form of puppet shows by students of Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Education Academy educating the public on topics related to women’s health namely women and diabetes.
