Dr Jatinder Kaur, MD (Gynae) while taking over as the new Director Health Services, Punjab at Parivar Kalyan Bhawan, Sector 34, Chandigarh on Wednesday.
Chandigarh, April 1, 2015: Dr Jatinder Kaur here today took over as the new Director Health & Family Welfare, Punjab. She got elevated to the post after the superannuation of her Karanjit Singh on Tuesday. Dr Jatinder is MD (Gyne & Obst) and has joined Punjab Civil Medical Services in the year 1980 as Medical Officer and served on many key positions in Punjab and UT Chandigarh. She served at Government Multi-speciality Hospital Sector 16, Chandigarh as a senior Gynaecologist and has vast clinical experience. Thereafter she has also remained as Medical Superintendent of Mata Kaushalaya Hospital, Patiala. She also served as Civil Surgeon of Patiala and SAS Nagar (Mohali) districts.
She said her priority as new the new Director Health & Family Welfare would be to improvise the health care facilities for the benefit of the people of the state. Her another focus area shall be to ensure that all National health programmes and schemes availablefor the people are implemented effectively.
