Mohali, September 6, 2026: Patiala MP, Dr Dharamvir Gandhi handed over ‘Seva Samman’ awards to prominent personalities in the region, who made outstanding contributions to the social service, cultural preservation, humanitarian work, and public welfare during a ‘Seva Samman Samaroh’ at Maat-Pita Godham Mahatirth, Khallaur village in Mohali on Sunday.
Rajpura MLA, Neena Mittal was also presented during the occasion as Guest of Honor.
The devotees and social workers gathered in large numbers from across Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, and tricity to participate in the samaroh.
Praising the initiatives of Godham, Dr Dharamvir Gandhi emphasized that respecting parents and serving cows form the cornerstone of our culture and moral foundation, adding that everyone should dedicate time to such sacred causes.
Neena Mittal remarked that establishing the world's first Mandir dedicated to parents in this region brings immense pride not only to Punjab but to the entire country. She commended founder Gauchar Das Gyan as an exemplary leader dedicated to social causes and assured full support to the shrine's management committee.
A team from Kohli Hospital Blood Center, Anandpur Sahib also conducted a free health checkup camp during the occasion along with a blood donation camp.
