Dr. B. N. Suresh, Chancellor of Indian Institute of Space Science delivered Dr. K.V. Rao Oration Lecture

Hyderabad, May 11, 2019: Dr.B.N.Suresh, Chancellor of Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, IIST at Thiruvanthapuram and Honorary Distinguished Professor at ISRO HQ, Bangalore today delivered DR.K.V Rao Memorial Oration “Science and Technology for the betterment of the Society here in the city at Conference Hall at National Institute of Nutrition, Tarnaka.

The Oration lecture was followed by Dr. K.V. Rao Scientific Society’s 19th Annual Science Awards 2018-19 to Research Scholars and School Students.

Some of the award winners include: Karun Vattakavil, Shreya Chillara, Nikesh Kumar, Ananya, Anudeep, Hardikpatel, Surya Mutharadu, Aishik Pal, Anindya Biswas, N Durg, P. Devi PRIYA and others.

This was an event Celebrating excellence in Science commented Dr. K. Ratna, Secretary of the Society. The Annual Science Awards include: Science Quiz, School Talent, SPARK Innovation, and Research Awards

Dr. R. Hemalatha, Director, National Institute of Nutrition, Hyderabad also graced as the chief guest to the function.

The Society was founded by the family in memory of Dr. K.V. Rao, an eminent Scientist of yester years who worked with Geological Survey of India. Dr. K.V Rao Society has been working hard for the past 18years for the cause of popularizing science among school children and enthusing young minds towards pursuing a career in science.
