Ludhiana: It is to inform you all with a heavy heart that Dr B N Rao, Former Director, Regional Research Station, Ballowal Saunkhri has left for heavenly abode yesterday. Dr Rao was a Soil and Water Engineer, a great scientist and able administrator. He was instrumental in establishing the research station and served as Director of the station for about 8 years from 10.3.1983 to 5.3.1991. He was an unassuming down to earth personality. He is survived by his wife and son Mr Mahesh settled in the USA.
