Dr Amar Singh Meets PM Narendra Modi

Raikot (Ludhiana), December 4, 2021: Dr Amar Singh MP Shri Fatehgarh Sahib met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Parliament and requested him to allocate special funds and run special trains for the upcoming Shaheedi Jor Mela as is done for the Kumbh Mela by the Government of India.

Dr Singh told the PM that the annual Shaheedi Jor Mela is the largest congregation in Punjab and sees 10-15 lakh, daily visitors, from 15th December to 15th January each year. 

He also took the opportunity to ask the PM to instruct the Railway Minister and Culture Minister to restart all trains that had been diverted from Shri Fatehgarh Sahib Constituency and allocate special funds to develop facilities for the crores of devotees who come to attend the Shaheedi Jor Mela every year.
