DPS Chandigarh Investiture Ceremony 2026–27: Nurturing Leaders for Tomorrow
Delhi Public School, Chandigarh ushered in a new chapter of student leadership with the Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2026–27, held with great dignity and enthusiasm. The occasion also celebrated academic excellence through the felicitation of the Class XII Board toppers of the 2025–26 session, making it a proud and inspiring milestone for the school community.

The occasion also celebrated academic excellence through the felicitation of the Class XII Board toppers of the 2025–26 session, making it a proud and inspiring milestone for the school community.
The ceremony was graced by Shipra Bansal, Honourable Chairperson of the Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights (CCPCR), as the Chief Guest. The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, invoking divine blessings, followed by a vibrant cultural presentation. The school choir, Sur Sangam, set a soulful tone with a melodious rendition, while a graceful dance performance and a compelling visual presentation on the power of self-belief captivated the audience and reinforced the values of perseverance and resilience.
The most significant moment of the ceremony was the formal investiture of the newly elected Student Council. The council members were conferred with badges of office by the Chief Guest, symbolising the confidence reposed in them and the responsibilities they are entrusted to uphold. Congratulating the young leaders, Shipra Bansal inspired them to lead with integrity, empathy, and courage while upholding their moral values. She encouraged the students to take on their responsibilities with conviction and yet stay grounded. She emphasised that true leadership stems from character, compassion, and a commitment to serving others.
Addressing the gathering, Reema Dewan, Director, Delhi Public School, Chandigarh, congratulated both the newly inducted Student Council and the meritorious Class XII achievers. She described leadership as a privilege that demands responsibility, accountability, and selfless service. She urged the council members to always remember that it’s not what the post makes of them but what they can make of the post. On this solemn occasion she reposed her confidence in the new council to imbibe life lessons that will impact not only the society but the nation at large.
The Head Boy and Head Girl proposed the Vote of Thanks, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Guest, the school management, faculty members, parents, and students for their unwavering support and encouragement. Reaffirming the Student Council's commitment to the ethos of the institution.
The ceremony concluded on an inspiring note, celebrating the spirit of leadership, excellence, and responsibility. As the newly elected leaders embarked on their journey, the event reaffirmed Delhi Public School, Chandigarh's enduring commitment to nurturing holistic development equipped to shape a brighter future.
