DOUBLE BONANZA FOR RURAL POPULACE AFTER URBAN PEOPLE IN GUJARAT COURTESY MARKFED

Vadodara/Chandigarh, July 24, 2018: The Cooperation Minister, Punjab, S.Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa on the 2nd day of his visit to Vadodara inaugurated the Markfed manufactured animal feed kiosk 'Mineral Mixture' at the kisaan sewa kendar of Gujarat State Fertilizer and Chemical Limited (GSCL) situated in savli town. The products of Markfed apart from those of the GSCL would be available at this kiosk. On the occasion the Additional Chief Secretary, Cooperation, Punjab Mr.D.P.Reddy, MD Markfed Mr.Varun Roojam and MD GSFC Mr.Sujit Gulati were also present.

It is worth mentioning that after the opening of health food kiosk at Vadodara for the urban populace yesterday, the inauguration today of Markfed manufactured animal feed kiosk at savli (40 KM from Vadodara) is a double bonanza for the rural population of Gujarat.

Speaking after the inauguration, S. Randhawa said that whereas on one hand Markfed manufactures products for domestic consumption, it also engages in manufacturing the high quality animal feed 'Mineral Mixture' at low cost for the animal keepers. The animal feed kiosk is also the first outside North India at Gujarat set up by Markfed just like the health food kiosk.

Earlier, the high level delegation from Punjab led by S. Randhawa visited the 'Tissue Culture Lab' at the fertilizer township of the GSCL. The incharge of the lab Dr. Priyanka Gauri said that the lab engages in researching on the new varities of sugarcane as well as the banana and prepares novel breed which results in high yield for the farmers.

S. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa also paid obeisance at Gurudwara Sri Guru Gobind Singh at chhani baroda in vadodara where the delegation led by him was showered with tremendous warmth by the members of the Punjabi community. On behalf of the Gurudwara Committee, S. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Chairman Markfed Mr. Amarjit Singh Samra and MLA Mr. Harpratap Singh Ajnala were honoured by the President of the Gurudwara Guru Gobind Singh chhani baroda Mr. Satwant Singh Sekhon, Secretary Mr. Devinder Singh Sandhu and Mr. Swaran Singh Sandhu besides President Truck Union Baroda Mr. Ranjit Singh Randhawa with 'Sri Sahib' and Siropa.

Among others present on the occasion were Additional Managing Director Markfed Mr. Bal Mukand Sharma, Officer on Special Duty (Fertilizers) Mr. Gagan Walia, Senior Marketing Manager Mr. Mandeep Singh Brar and Head Northern Zone (Agri Business) GSCL Mr. Shailendra Singh.
