Don’t take success for granted; Indian shooter Rizvi tells students
Panchkula, December 11, 2018: Annual prize distribution ceremony was held at Holy Child School, Panchkula on Tuesday. Shahzar Rizvi Indian shooting champion was chief guest during occasion. During occasion, student got the opportunity to interact with Rizvi who shared his success mantra with them. In his inspirational speech, while encouraging young children, Rizvi advised them to work hard and follow their dreams. We must recognize our weaknesses, believe in our-self and always be ready to take risks, maintained Rizvi. He said , though he comes from a simple family living in a small village, he has toiled hard to make a mark as a sportsman and has not taken his success for granted. Rizvi has not only won a gold medal in his maiden International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup appearance in 2018 in Guadalajara, Mexico, but also created a world record score by scoring 242.3 in the 10m air pistol event’s final to beat reigning Olympic champion Christian Reitz of Germany. Speaking during occasion, Neena Trehan Chairperson of school said that Rizvi illustrious career is a result of undying passion and commitment that will prove to be a vehicle to transform the aspirations of the young people.
