Doaba College organizes Industrial visit to PKF Group

Jalandhar, May 13, 2022: P.G. Department of Commerce and Business Management organized an industrial visit for graduate students to PKF Finance Ltd., Jalandhar. 25 students visited the PKF group. 
Dr.Surinder Sharma, Event Coordinator, accompanied the students along with the other faculty members, Dr.Naresh Malhotra, HoD and Dr.Nitasha Sharma. This visit was a part of the programme to build a strong relationship with industry and also as per the terms of the MOU signed between the college and the company. Vivek Sondhi, Joint Managing Director, Ashim Sondhi, Vice President and Kavita Gupta, Senior Manager (Deposits) of PKF Finance Ltd. gave a very warm welcome to the entire team. During the visit, company personnel guided the students through a detailed interactive session with them in the Conference Hall. Firstly, Ashim Sondhi welcomed the students and faculty members. Then, Kavita Gupta explained to the students the operational and legal aspects of the NBFCs. Further, she discussed the financial aspects of a company, the process of borrowing and lending. Ms. Jyotika explained in detail the challenges and yardsticks of the Banking Industry. Though this sector is the backbone of every business, RBI, being a regulator, put stringent norms for this industry. Rekha also guided students to start such kinds of finance company in the capacity of young entrepreneurs. The entire team appreciated the kind of knowledge and hospitality given by the PKF group. Dr Naresh Malhotra and Dr. Surinder Sharma, on behalf of Doaba College, thanked the company officials for accommodating them for this industrial tour.
