Doaba College NCC Unit Organises Cleaning Drive of Statues of Martyrs 

Jalandhar: NCC Unit of Doaba College, organized a ‘Foot March’ to clean the Statues of martyrs on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas. The Army & Air wing cadets of NCC started foot march from the college towards the bust of Late Lieutenant Sachin Khindria, who sacrificed his life for the country while serving in Siachin.NCC Cadets cleaned his Statue and paid floral tribute. Principal, Doaba College, Dr. Pardeep Bhandari specially mentioned the valour of Captain Vikram Batra, who earned Param Vir Chakra posthumously. He motivated cadets to imbibe and inculcate officer like qualities viz sincerity ,discipline, bravery, leadership, punctuality , self sacrifice and  patriotism to rise high in life.   He applauded the efforts of NCC wing and congratulated Lt. Rahul Bhardwaj for the same.ANO Lt. Rahul Bhardwaj enlightened the cadets in brief regarding Kargil war. SUO Gulshan kumar and Cadet Boota Singh sang patriotic songs to fill the enthusiasm in the contingent.. Slogans of "Bharat Mata ki Jai"and "Shaheedon koYaad Karo" were on the lips of each and every Cadet during the march.
