DMC&H Organises Curriculum Implementation Support Programme (CISP) for Faculty Development
Curriculum Committee, DMC&H, Ludhiana, successfully organized a two-day Curriculum Implementation Support Programme (CISP) under the aegis of the National Medical Commission (NMC), India, at its College Campus. The programme was aimed at strengthening the competencies of faculty members in implementing the Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME) curriculum effectively.
Ludhiana, June 10, 2026: Curriculum Committee, DMC&H, Ludhiana, successfully organized a two-day Curriculum Implementation Support Programme (CISP) under the aegis of the National Medical Commission (NMC), India, at its College Campus. The programme was aimed at strengthening the competencies of faculty members in implementing the Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME) curriculum effectively.
A total of 30 faculty members from various departments of DMC&H participated in the programme. Conducted by the Curriculum Committee (CC), the workshop focused on innovative teaching-learning methods, assessment strategies, curriculum planning, and advanced educational concepts to enhance the quality of undergraduate medical education.
Dr. Dinesh K. Badyal, Vice Principal (Medical Education) and Professor & Head, Department of Pharmacology, CMC Ludhiana, was appointed by the National Medical Commission as the official observer for the programme.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Bipin Gupta, Secretary, DMC&H Managing Society; Dr. G.S. Wander, Principal, DMC&H; Dr. Sandeep Kaushal, Dean Academics, DMC&H; and Dr. Dinesh K. Badyal, NMC Cordinator and other faculty members.
Bipin Gupta, Secretary, DMC&H Managing Society, said that faculty development is the cornerstone of quality medical education. Programmes such as CISP empower our teachers with contemporary educational strategies and help ensure that students receive training that is aligned with the evolving needs of healthcare and medical practice. DMC&H remains committed to fostering academic excellence through continuous professional development of its faculty.

Dr Sandeep Kaushal, Dean Academics, DMC&H said that CISP equips our faculty with the knowledge and skills required for effective implementation of competency based medical education, which is very helpful to enhance teaching standards and student learning outcomes. The hands-on training for implementation of CBME Curriculum is very important for effective implementation.
