DMC&H installs Advanced Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) for Gastrointestinal Healthcare
In a major stride towards enhancing diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities in gastrointestinal (GI) healthcare, DMC&H Ludhiana, a leading healthcare provider in the region, has become the first center in the region to install ALOKA ARIETTA 850 Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) system.

Ludhiana, July 23, 2025: In a major stride towards enhancing diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities in gastrointestinal (GI) healthcare, DMC&H Ludhiana, a leading healthcare provider in the region, has become the first center in the region to install ALOKA ARIETTA 850 Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) system.
As gastrointestinal disorders continue to rise due to changing lifestyles and dietary habits, early and accurate diagnosis is vital for effective treatment. Addressing this need, EUS, a minimally invasive diagnostic tool has emerged as a key technology.
DMC Hospital, Ludhiana, has become the first healthcare facility in the region to install the revolutionary ALOKA ARIETTA 850 EUS System. This state-of-the-art technology represents a major advancement in diagnostic imaging, particularly for gastrointestinal diseases.
The ALOKA ARIETTA 850, with its superior imaging quality and therapeutic capabilities, is set to revolutionize the diagnosis and management of GI diseases, including pancreatic, hepatic, and biliary conditions.
The system offers enhanced detection of pancreatic, gastric, esophageal, and early rectal cancers, along with submucosal tumors, bile duct stones, and more. With its high precision and clarity, the ALOKA ARIETTA 850 is also instrumental in EUS-guided therapeutic procedures, such as: Pseudocyst drainage (replacing laparoscopic surgery), EUS-guided Gastrojejunostomy (minimally invasive alternative to surgical intervention), Fiducial placement and radiofrequency ablation for pancreatic tumors, Coiling and glue injection for gastric varices to manage bleeding, Accurate cancer staging and sampling through fine needle aspiration without the need for separate biopsy procedures.
