DMC&H in Collaboration with Ganga Acrowools Organized a Free Medical Camp at Kot Sekhon
In a dedicated effort to extend quality healthcare services to rural communities, Dayanand Medical College & Hospital (DMC&H), Ludhiana, in collaboration with Ganga Acrowools, successfully organized a Free Medical Camp on June 1, 2025, at Government Primary School, Kot Sekhon. The camp was conducted from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM and witnessed overwhelming participation from the local population, reaffirming the importance and impact of such community health initiatives.

Ludhiana, June 7, 2025: In a dedicated effort to extend quality healthcare services to rural communities, Dayanand Medical College & Hospital (DMC&H), Ludhiana, in collaboration with Ganga Acrowools, successfully organized a Free Medical Camp on June 1, 2025, at Government Primary School, Kot Sekhon. The camp was conducted from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM and witnessed overwhelming participation from the local population, reaffirming the importance and impact of such community health initiatives.
The camp was formally inaugurated by Bipin Gupta, Secretary, DMC&H Managing Society; Dr. Bishav Mohan, Chief Cardiologist and Coordinator, Hero DMC Heart Institute (HDHI); Shri Amit Thapar, President, Ganga Acrowools Limited, and Dr. Ravinder Verma, Managing Director, Ganga Acrowools Limited
Speaking on the occasion, Bipin Gupta, Secretary, DMC&H, stated, “At Dayanand Medical College & Hospital, we firmly believe in our responsibility toward community welfare. We are always ready and committed to organizing such healthcare camps that bring quality medical services closer to people who need them the most.” He also informed the gathering about ‘Swasth Nari Abhiyan,’ a dedicated initiative by DMC&H aimed at providing free normal deliveries for eligible women. Free cataract surgeries were also announced for selected patients during the camp.
Dr. Bishav Mohan, Chief Cardiologist, HDHI, added, “It is our mission to ensure that no one is deprived of healthcare due to geographic or economic barriers. These camps are an integral part of our outreach efforts, and we will continue to conduct them regularly to improve public health awareness and access.”
A team of highly skilled doctors from various specialties offered their expert consultation during the camp, including Dr. Vipin Kumar (Medicine), Dr. Priyanka Arora (Ophthalmology), Dr. Ashima Taneja (Gynaecology), Dr. Akash Batta (Cardiology), Dr. Anubhav Sharma (Orthopaedics), and Dr. Gurpreet Singh (Pediatrics). The camp provided comprehensive diagnostic and clinical services to a total of 469 patients, with department-wise consultations as follows: 152 in Ophthalmology, 139 in Medicine, 85 in Orthopaedics, 50 in Gynaecology, 29 in Cardiology, and 14 in Pediatrics.
The camp also offered free diagnostic testing, including blood pressure monitoring, blood sugar tests, and ECG screenings. As part of the special eye care initiative, 78 free spectacles were distributed and free eye drops were provided to patients in need. These services were greatly appreciated by the local community, many of whom had limited access to specialized medical care.
