DMC&H Hosts Alumni Meet 2025 ‘Lamhe’

Dayanand Medical College & Hospital (DMC&H) hosted its Alumni Meet 2025 titled ‘Lamhe’, a memorable celebration aimed at reliving cherished moments, strengthening lifelong bonds, and reconnecting alumni with their alma mater. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of 1965 Batch (Diamond Jubilee), 1975 Batch (Golden Jubilee), and Batch 2000 (Silver Jubilee).

DMC&H Hosts Alumni Meet 2025 ‘Lamhe’

Ludhiana, December 20, 2025: Dayanand Medical College & Hospital (DMC&H) hosted its Alumni Meet 2025 titled ‘Lamhe’, a memorable celebration aimed at reliving cherished moments, strengthening lifelong bonds, and reconnecting alumni with their alma mater. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of 1965 Batch (Diamond Jubilee), 1975 Batch (Golden Jubilee), and Batch 2000 (Silver Jubilee).


The day began with a felicitation program at DMC College Campus & hospital round. Dr. Puneet A. Pooni, Chairperson, DMC Alumni Committee, formally welcomed the alumni and highlighted the significance of ‘Lamhe’ as a platform to reconnect generations of DMC graduates.


Secretary of DMCH Managing Society Sh Bipin Gupta was the chief guest for the event. Other dignitaries who were present on the occasion were, Sh Mukesh Verma, Treasurer, DMC&H Managing Society, Principal Dr G S Wander, Medical Supdt. Dr Ashwani K Chaudhary and Dr Bishav Mohan Chief Cardiologist, Hero DMC Heart Institute. Dr Puneet A. Pooni (Chairperson, DMC Alumni Committee), Dr Shibba T. Chhabra (Convener, DMC Alumni Committee), Dr Suman Puri (Coordinator, DMC Alumni Committee) and Dr Dinesh Jain (Secretary, DMC Alumni Committee) also graced the occasion.


In his message, Bipin Gupta, Secretary, DMC&H Managing Society, lauded the efforts of DMC Alumni Committee for organizing the event. He emphasized that DMC alumni are the true ambassadors of the institution and their achievements across the globe bring pride to DMC&H. 


Dr. G.S. Wander, Principal, DMC&H, in his address, stated that alumni form the strongest pillar of any academic institution. He highlighted the significant achievements of DMC&H in the fields of patient care, academics, research, and advanced medical services, and acknowledged the role of alumni in strengthening the institution’s legacy. He encouraged alumni to remain closely associated with DMC&H and contribute to its continued growth.


In the evening, a grand Cultural Extravaganza followed by Dinner was organized at Hotel Maharaja Regency, Arti Chowk, Ferozepur Road, Ludhiana.  Dr. Balbir Singh, Health Minister of Punjab and alumnus of the 1975 Golden Jubilee Batch, joined the reunion at the evening event. The dignitaries collectively released the latest edition of ‘Alumni Times’ Magazine, symbolizing unity among alumni and strengthening communication networks.


Dr. Balbir expressed his joy at attending the reunion, stating that reconnecting with old friends and colleagues was a deeply emotional and fulfilling experience.


With more than 200 alumni from across India and abroad in attendance, the event turned into a memorable day of reflection, celebration, and renewed association.


Dr. Shibba T. Chhabra, Convener, DMC Alumni Committee, introduced the alumni present at the ceremony and briefly shared their achievements and professional journeys.


DMC Alumni Committee, expressed their heartfelt appreciation to all alumni for their presence and enthusiastic participation and thanked the alumni for their overwhelming response and support, and emphasized the importance of maintaining a strong alumni network to inspire future generations of medical professionals.
