DMCH doctor awarded prestigious fellowship
Dr. Sarit Sharma, Professor of Community Medicine at DMCH Ludhiana.

Ludhiana: Dr. Sarit Sharma, Professor of Community Medicine at DMCH Ludhiana was awarded Fellowship of Indian Association of Preventive & Social Medicine (FIAPSM) during the 48th Annual Conference of IAPSM conducted online at PGIMER Chandigarh from March 19-21, 2021. 

The fellowship is awarded for outstanding work done in the fields of Preventive Medicine and Public Health. Dr Sarit Sharma has been working in the areas of infection control, prevention of communicable & non-communicable diseases, maternal & child health etc. 

Dr Sharma, who is president of IAPSM Punjab chapter and Chairperson of Punjab State Task Force for National TB Elimination Program, has also been very actively involved during Covid pandemic for providing health education regarding Covid appropriate behaviour in Ludhiana and conducting contact tracing for the Covid positive patients. He was also awarded with a certificate of appreciation by Varinder Sharma, Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana, for his contributions during the pandemic of Covid-19.'
