DMC with association of CII begins health screening campaign for industrial workers

Ludhiana, July 28, 2022: Health screening campaign for industrial workers today started by Dr Vishav Mohan, DMC at Ganga Acrowools Limited. 

This campaign is the part of a project guided by ICMR for which DMC team has tied up with CII, and target is to cover 50000 workers.

Dr Vishav Mohan explained that during this camp primarily checking of BP, BMI, Obesity, Diabetes will be done. He explained that BP is silent killer and leads to many complications and many ignore it.

He added under the campaign DMC will also train paramedics of large industry in health screening to make itself sustaining and perpetual exercise. 

He further spoke about prevention of dengue and stressed that frequent platelets tests should be avoided and the best treatment is hydration. 

Amit Thapar, Chairman, CII Punjab explained how BP adds to lethargy, inefficiency, leads to absentism, poor quality and lower productivity. He said it is moral responsibility of industry to take care of primary health of its workers. 

Large and MSMEs participated in this campaign, which is being monitored by WHO. Dr Soni from WHO was present. 

Ashwin Nagpal CII Chairman Ludhiana zone, Ashpreet Sahni, Lokesh Jain, Dr Anil Puri, Geetanjali Seth and Shivani Sachdeva were among those present.
