DM Sachin Gupta issues Prohibitory Orders in View of CBSE Examinations; Section 163 Imposed near Examination Centers

District Magistrate Sachin Gupta has issued prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, in view of the Secondary and Senior Secondary examinations being conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education up to April 11, 2026.

Rohtak, February 18, 2026: District Magistrate Sachin Gupta has issued prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, in view of the Secondary and Senior Secondary examinations being conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education up to April 11, 2026.

The orders have been issued to ensure that the examinations are conducted in a fair, peaceful, transparent, and malpractice-free manner. As per the orders, assembly of five or more persons is strictly prohibited within a radius of 100 meters of all examination centers in the district.

Further, carrying of arms or weapons of any kind, including firearms, swords, gandasa, lathi, spear, axe, knife, or any other lethal objects, is strictly prohibited in the vicinity of examination centers. To maintain examination confidentiality and eliminate any possibility of unfair means, Photostat/Xerox shops, duplicating centers, cyber cafés, and similar establishments located within 100 meters of examination centers shall remain closed during the examination period.

The orders also stipulate that any violation shall attract legal action under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, and other applicable provisions of law. However, these prohibitory orders shall not apply to police personnel and other public servants deployed on official duty.

The district administration reiterated its commitment to ensuring a secure, disciplined, and disturbance-free environment for students appearing in the CBSE examinations.
