DM Sachin Gupta imposes Restrictions around Examination Centres Under Section 163 of BNSS
District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta has imposed necessary restrictions around all examination centres in the district under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, with immediate effect, to ensure the peaceful, fair and smooth conduct of examinations being conducted by the Haryana Board of School Education, Bhiwani.
Rohtak, February 25, 2026: District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta has imposed necessary restrictions around all examination centres in the district under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, with immediate effect, to ensure the peaceful, fair and smooth conduct of examinations being conducted by the Haryana Board of School Education, Bhiwani.
The restrictions will remain in force for the duration of the Secondary, Senior Secondary (Regular/Reappear/Open School) and D.El.Ed. (Re-appear) examinations, which are scheduled to be held up to April 1, 2026, from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM at various examination centres across the district.
As per the orders issued by the District Magistrate:
• Parking or standing of any vehicle, including motorcycles and cars, shall be strictly prohibited within a 50-metre radius of examination centres during examination hours
• In case a residential building falls within the 50-metre restricted zone, the owner or occupant shall ensure that no unauthorised or unnecessary person is present on the rooftop during examination time
• Any violation of these directions will make the concerned house owner/occupant liable for action
These restrictions have been imposed to prevent crowding, noise, obstruction and any disturbance that may adversely affect the conduct of examinations.
The order shall not apply to police personnel and other government employees deployed on official examination duty.
The Superintendent of Police, Rohtak, all Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) and Station House Officers (SHOs) have been directed to ensure strict enforcement of the orders within their respective jurisdictions.
Any person found violating the orders shall be prosecuted under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, or other applicable legal provisions.
The Deputy Commissioner reiterated that the district administration is fully committed to ensuring discipline, fairness and an enabling environment for students, and appealed to citizens to cooperate fully in the larger public interest.
