DLSA ORGANISES BANK AWARENESS & MEDICAL CHECKUP CAMP IN DISTRICT COURTS COMPLEX LUDHIANA

Ludhiana, June 2, 2019: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Ludhiana today organised a bank awareness and medical checkup camp in District Courts Complex, here. Mr Gurbir Singh, District and Sessions Judge, Ludhiana was the chief guest on the occasion.

While speaking on the occasion, Mr Gurbir Singh urged the residents to remain vigilant from online banking fraud. He said that these days people have started using online banking to a large extent and that is why, some unscrupulous elements are taking advantage of this fact and committing fraud. He urged the residents to remain vigilant themselves if they don’t want to fall victim to such unscrupulous elements. He also appealed to the bank and its officials to ensure that they make online banking more safe and secure.

During this camp, officials of State Bank of India also gave detailed information about several facilities being provided by them, best ways to use these facilities, ways to use ATM cards in best and safe way, internet banking services, house loan facilities, Pradhan Mantri Aawas Yojana, ways to save yourself from banking related frauds, etc.

They also informed the gathering about use of YONO Mobile app of the State Bank of India for internet banking. The bank officials also informed that if any person fraudulently withdraws money from bank account of someone else or transfers that money to some other bank account, then it is mandatory for the victim to intimate the home branch of his/her bank within 7 days. They also informed that one should never reveal pin number of their ATM card to anyone and at the time of withdrawing money from the ATM, one should ensure that people standing near him do not see the pin number.

On this occasion, Mrs Gurpreet Kaur, Regional Manager, State Bank of India, Mr Vipan Kumar, Assistant General Manager (HLST), Mrs Rakhi Aggarwal, Branch Manager, New Courts Branch, Ludhiana, Mr Rajiv Madaan, Chief Manager (ROB-I) also briefed the audience about several other services being provided by the State Bank of India.

Prominent among those present on the occasion included Additional District & Sessions Judge Ludhiana Mr Munish Arora, Mr Tarn Taran Singh Bindra, Mr Kulbhushan Kumar, Miss Rashmi Sharma, Mr Jarnail Singh, Mr Vikrant Kumar, Civil Judge (Senior Division), Mr PS Kaleka, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Mr Ashish Abrol, Secretary, DLSA Ludhiana, besides several others.

A medical checkup camp was also organised by a team of doctors from Fortis Hospital, Ludhiana. This team comprised of Dr. Meenakshi Jain, Skin Specialist, Dr. Harpreet Kaur (Internal Medicines), Dr. Sanjeev Mahajan, Orthopaedics, Dr. Niyati Bhasin (Internal Medicines), who conducted tests of ECG, Bone Density checkup, Blood Pressure etc.
