Rohtak, June 28, 2026: Eco-friendly nests and water containers for birds have been installed at the Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC-SUPVA) under the 'Dana-Pani Nest' campaign. The initiative aims to provide safe shelter, food, and water to bird populations that are rapidly declining, while also fostering sensitivity towards nature and biodiversity among students. Those present pledged to support bird conservation within the SUPVA campus.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Amit Arya stated that the university administration strives to make the entire campus green, safe, and life-sustaining for birds as well as students. He remarked that arranging food and safe habitats for voiceless birds is an integral part of our culture and social responsibility.
Registrar Dr. Gunjan Malik Manocha described the campaign as one that inspires the new generation to conserve nature. She urged citizens to become part of this public movement by arranging food, water, and safe shelters for birds around their homes, schools, and offices.
During the event, university officials—along with volunteers Anil Kumar, Dr. Pratap Singh, Rajesh Kumar, and Vikrant Veer—installed eco-friendly nests and water containers on various trees across the campus. The attendees also pledged to provide the best possible care and protection for the birds.
