Rohtak, February 4, 2026: The four-day 'Sarang' festival will also take place at Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC SUPVA), along with 'Bharangam'. The 'Sarang' festival is an event organized by DLCSUPVA itself, and its stage will be set up separately in the courtyard of the FTV department. VC Dr. Amit Arya also launched its poster today.

VC Dr. Amit Arya said that only national and international teams will perform plays at 'Bharangam,' whereas 'Sarang' is like a rainbow of artistic expressions, where various art forms will be seen on the same stage. A celebration of the union of colours, ideas, voices, and traditions; The 'Sarang' festival will promote harmony, creativity, and cultural dialogue through art. By bringing together different creative forms under one roof, 'Sarang' provides a vibrant platform for exhibitions, discussions, screenings, workshops, and visual storytelling.              

VC Dr. Arya said that Kathak, Odissi, Chhau, Sattriya, Bhangra will also be seen on the stage of 'Sarang'. Folk and traditional performances such as Pen Nadai Koothu (Tamil Folk Theatre) and Assamese folk art will also be showcased by renowned teams. Musical and poetic narratives, qawwali and ghazal, student band performances and contemporary live concerts will also be seen on the stage of 'Sarang'. “Directors' meetings, master classes, expert talks and interactive sessions with eminent theatre and performing arts personalities will also be part of the platform,” he added.

VC Dr. Arya informed that during the 'Sarang' festival; theatre clubs and organizations from across the state that have made an extraordinary contribution to keeping theatre alive will be honoured. So far, 20 such theatre clubs have been identified, which are actively participating in their respective districts. The group leaders and organizers of these clubs will be invited on different days of the four-day 'Sarang' festival and felicitated.
