Children give a message to celebrate pollution-free Diwali
Jalandhar, November 3, 2021: From pre-school to college in Innocent Hearts, the festival of Diwali was celebrated virtually with great enthusiasm, in which the five schools of Innocent Hearts (Green Model Town, Loharan, C.J.R., Nurpur and K.P.T) and the students of Innocent Hearts College of Education participated with great fervor. On this occasion, children eagerly participated in various activities and competitions like candle-decoration, diya-decoration, puja thali decoration, rangoli making, toran making, slogan-writing, poster making etc.
Children of Pre-Primary, Primary, KG-1, KG-2 of Innokids made beautiful Rangoli with different types of flowers. Candle decoration activity was conducted by the children of class II, in which children displayed their art by decorating candles in a very attractive manner. Diya decoration activity was conducted by the children of class III, in which children exposed their hidden talents by making beautiful designs on earthen diyas. By making earthen diyas, they gave the message of celebrating pollution-free Green Diwali. The children participated in these activities showcasing their art in a very beautiful manner. On the other hand, 'Anti Cracker Deepawali Week' was celebrated at Innocent Hearts College of Education with the message of celebrating eco-friendly Diwali. On the first day, a Rangoli competition was organized by the students of the college on the theme of 'Devi Laxmi Rangoli Design' for making torans. On the second day the student-teachers took a pledge that they would never use plastic bags, which are a major source of pollution. They designed attractive Diwali gift packages with paper-materials. On the third day, a slogan-writing competition with pictures on the theme 'This Diwali bursts your ego not crackers' was organized. On the fourth day, a Diya-decoration and poster-making competition was organized and in the next two days, students and teachers went to the nearby government schools and explained to the children about the various ways of celebrating Harit Diwali. The winners of various competitions were awarded on this occasion.
Diwali festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Innocent Hearts Management College. Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha were praised. The students made wonderful Rangoli by mixing colored rice, diyas, flowers, grains and colors of the Rangoli. This colorful and vibrant Rangoli presented a unique picture of celebration and happiness.
In virtual classes and offline classes, teachers told the children that Diwali is a symbol of cleanliness and auspiciousness. We should celebrate pollution-free Diwali by not using firecrackers. Throwing light on the importance of Diwali, they asked the children to follow the ideals of Maryada-Purushottam Shri Ram.
