Divya Prem: Pyaar Aur Rahasya Ki Kahani Actress Ambika Vani on Navratri: My mother named me Ambika after Goddess Durga

Navratri is a celebration of Goddess Durga, but it is also a reminder of the strength, courage and values that women bring into our lives every day. For Ambika Vani, who plays Misha in Sun Neo’s Divya Prem: Pyaar Aur Rahasya Ki Kahani, the festival holds a special place in her heart. From the women who inspire her to the childhood memories she cherishes, Navratri is a time that brings back many beautiful moments and reminds her of the values she believes in.
Talking about the women she looks up to, Ambika shares, “The Navdurgas in my life are my mother, my three sisters and some of my close friends. I admire women who are honest, understand their values and know how to stand up for themselves and others. For me, a strong woman is someone who understands the difference between right and wrong and has the courage to speak up when something is unfair. She should be able to stand up for her rights and support others when they need it. I believe that every woman who has these qualities is strong in her own way.”
She also shared, “Navratri has always been very special to me because I was born during this festival. My mother named me Ambika after Goddess Durga, which makes the festival even more meaningful for me. My mother and sisters observe fasts during Navratri, and although I do not fast, I enjoy visiting pandals, taking darshan and attending pujas. Since moving to Mumbai, I have also started enjoying the festive atmosphere and watching Garba celebrations.”
She further added, “Some of my fondest memories of Navratri are from my childhood in my hometown. My mother would follow a completely different routine for all nine days, and I remember going from house to house with my younger sister to invite people for Kanya Pujan at our home. As children, we would also get excited about visiting other homes, enjoying different food and receiving some money. These small moments have stayed with me over the years, and every Navratri brings back those beautiful childhood memories.”
