Jalandhar, August 17, 2025: The entire school premises was immersed in an aura of devotion and joy as DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur, celebrated the auspicious festival of Janmashtami with great fervour. The aroma of faith and festivity filled the air, echoing with chants and songs in praise of Lord Krishna.

Tiny tots from classes Play Pen to UKG stole the hearts of all as they came dressed as adorable Radha and Krishna, spreading divine charm with their innocent smiles. To mark the occasion, a special morning assembly was conducted where devotional prayers and bhajans set a serene spiritual tone for the day.

The stage came alive with a series of enchanting dance performances by students from Nursery to Class VI, each performance narrating stories and virtues of Lord Krishna. The choreography depicting Krishna’s birth was especially mesmerising, bringing alive the vibrant scenes from Mathura and Gokul. The much-awaited Dahi Handi moment, symbolising Krishna’s playful spirit, filled the atmosphere with cheer and excitement.

Adding to the festivities, the students of Class VI beautifully drew and painted pictures related to Janmashtami, while the students of Class VII showcased their creativity by making decorative jhulas adorned with flowers, beads, and ribbons, enhancing the festive charm.

Principal Dr. Yogesh Gambhir extended his warm blessings to all students, wishing them a joyous Janmashtami. He stated that such celebrations not only keep our rich cultural heritage alive but also instill in young minds the values of love, friendship, and devotion that Lord Krishna embodied.
