District Primary School Games Conclude with Grandeur at Jarkhar Sports Stadium

MLA Sangowal Distributed Prizes to Winning Players
Ludhiana, November 28, 2025: The District-level Primary School Games, featuring Mini Handball and 6-a-side Hockey (Under-11), concluded with great fanfare at the Jarkhar Sports Stadium. Hundreds of students from various schools across Ludhiana’s 19 blocks participated enthusiastically.
The closing ceremony was graced by MLA Jiwan Singh Sangowal, who distributed prizes to the winning players and wished them a bright future. He also highlighted the special initiatives being undertaken by the Punjab government for education and sports.
Deputy DEO Shri Manoj Kumar welcomed MLA Sangowal and thanked the Punjab government for giving special attention to sports. Veteran social worker and sports promoter S. Jagrup Singh Jarkhar encouraged maximum student participation in sports and expressed gratitude to the Education Department for organizing games at the Jarkhar Sports Stadium.
Speaking on the occasion, BPEO Manjeet Singh Garewal (Block Dehlon-1) congratulated the winners and motivated the second and third-place teams to work harder. He also thanked all teachers of Block Dehlon-1 for performing their duties with dedication.
