District Mandi Officer, BDPO and her husband gets discharged from civil hospital today

Ludhiana: Deputy Commissioner Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal today informed that in a good news, District Mandi Officer Ludhiana Mrs Jasbir Kaur, Block Development & Panchayat Officer Mrs Navdeep Kaur, and her husband today got discharged from Civil Hospital Ludhiana after getting fully cured of COVID 19. The doctors and other staff of Civil Hospital gave them a warm sendoff and wished them a healthy life ahead.
    Mr Agrawal informed that till date, 4270 samples have been taken in the district, out of which report of 3970 have been received and 3795 reports were negative. He informed that at present, there are 136 positive patients related to district Ludhiana, while 40 patients are from other districts, 13 patients have been cured till now, and six deaths have been reported.
    He further informed that out total samples sent yesterday, 89 samples were negative while 17 came out positive, out of which 14 are related to Railway Police force personnel who came from Delhi, two from district Ludhiana (one from Ludhiana city and one from village Ghulal) while one patient is related to district Jalandhar. He further stated that six trains carrying around 1200 migrants each departed for Sitamarhi, Pratapgarh, Raibareli, Hardoi, Unnao and Amethi. He stated that tomorrow, five trains would depart for different states.He informed that more such trains would depart for other cities in different states in coming days.
    Mr Agrawal said that every employee of District Administration Ludhiana is working 24X7 to check the spread of COVID 19 in the state, and the situation is completely under control. He urged the residents to stay indoors and follow all directions of the Punjab government if they want to fight COVID 19 pandemic.
