Rohtak, October 21, 2025: District Magistrate Sachin Gupta, exercising the powers vested under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, has imposed a ban on the burning of paddy stubble.
The orders state that open-field burning of paddy residue adversely affects public health and releases high levels of pollution containing toxic elements that are extremely harmful to all forms of life. To prevent such hazardous pollution and protect public health, these orders have been issued and will take effect immediately.
