District level public meetings of Education Department on March 14: Dr.Cheema

Chandigarh, March 12, 2015: The district level public meetings of the Education Department would be held on March 14 to redress the grievance of the employees and general public on the spot at local level. In this meeting the grievances would be listened to by the senior officers of the department and the problems would be solved at the spot.

Disclosing this here today Punjab Education Minister Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema said that with the motive to build a healthy relationships and good rapport with the public.

Dr. Cheema said that the public meeting would be held at every district head quarter in which DEOs would preside over the meeting along with other senior officers of the education department. He said that the state level officers would closely monitor the proceedings of these meetings. District head quarters would submit complete report of these meeting specially mentioning the number of grievances redressed at their end.

It’s pertinent to mention here that the public meetings of the education department have emerged as a useful medium to restore the faith of the public into the working of the government. He said that in the last public meeting 58 cases were redressed at the spot. He said that now onwards public meetings would be conducting on every second Saturday of the month at 10a.m to 2 p.m.
