District-Level MTB Cycling Competitions to Be Held Across Punjab on August 26 and 29

Ludhiana, August 24, 2026: District-level Mountain Bike (MTB) Cycling Competitions for the Senior, Junior, Sub-Junior and Youth categories for boys and girls will be organized at six designated venues across Punjab, covering all 23 districts of the state.
In this regard, an online meeting of the district cycling associations affiliated with the Cycling Association of Punjab was held under the leadership of Cycling Association of Punjab President Charanjit Singh Dhaliwal and General Secretary Jagdeep Singh.
Sharing details of the decisions taken during the meeting, General Secretary Jagdeep Singh said that competitions for cyclists from Patiala, Rupnagar (Ropar), S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali) and Fatehgarh Sahib districts will be held on August 29, 2026, at Jago Akal Academy Road near Asian Group of Colleges in Patiala. 
Similarly, competitions for cyclists from Sangrur, Mansa, Bathinda and Barnala districts will be held on August 29 at the Sports Stadium near the SDM Office in Dirba, Sangrur. 
At PAU in Ludhiana, competitions for cyclists from Ludhiana, Moga, Ferozepur and Malerkotla districts will be held on August 29, 2026. 
At Government College, Sri Muktsar Sahib, competitions for cyclists from Sri Muktsar Sahib, Faridkot and Fazilka districts will be held on August 29. 
For the districts of the Doaba region, competitions will be held on August 26, 2026, at village Bassi Daulat Khan, located on the Hoshiarpur-Phagwara Road. Cyclists from Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar (SBS Nagar) and Kapurthala districts will participate. 
Similarly, competitions for cyclists from Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Gurdaspur and Pathankot districts will be held on August 29 at Khassa, near D-Mart on the Amritsar-Attari Road. 
Registration is mandatory for all cyclists wishing to participate in the district-level MTB Cycling Competitions. Registration will be conducted at the respective venues. The registration form can also be downloaded from the official Facebook page of the Cycling Association of Punjab. Cyclists are advised to download the form, fill in all the required information and submit it at the venue along with the necessary details.
Cyclists have also been urged to ensure that their registration is completed before participating in the competition, as only duly registered participants will be permitted to take part in the respective district-level competitions.
Experienced technical officials have been assigned duties at various venues to ensure the smooth, transparent and fair conduct of the competitions.
These competitions will provide cyclists with an opportunity to showcase their talent, competitive skills, endurance and sporting spirit. At the same time, the competitions will play an important role in identifying emerging cycling talent from across Punjab.
Cyclists from across the state are therefore encouraged to participate in the competitions in maximum numbers and make the events a success.
